For my first ever blog post, I'd love to start with a sort of introduction of myself and some things I would like you to know about me before continuing to read my blog posts:

Currently, high school is coming to a screeching halt for me. I am finishing up my senior year very involved in sports, the arts, and clubs around my school. For four years, I was on our school's cheer leading squad, but I decided to pursue my love of dance my senior year of high school and join the dance team, which was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I began dancing when I was three at a local dance studio in my hometown and continued to dance there until I was thirteen and decided that I couldn't do both cheer leading and dance at the same time. I started cheering in seventh grade, but was always persistent on being on the team from a young age. After finishing middle school cheer, I moved up to become a high school cheerleader. My first season there, I was captain on our Junior Varsity squad, and after four years, ended my cheer career as Varsity captain. After that season is when I started on the dance team. I was able to do the one thing I've always loved with one of my best friends, whom you'll hear about later, I'm sure.

You might think that as long as I did cheer leading for, it would be my #1 passion, but I can easily say that musical theater is the thing I am most passionate about. I've been performing ever since I was young starting with dance and evolving into acting in plays we put on at our church. I started doing musical theater when I was in 7th grade and since then, I've been in a trance. I haven't stopped loving it since I was cast in that first show. The first musical I ever performed in was 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' where I was simply just a background singer, but I loved every moment. The next musical I was in started my high school career in theater. Freshman year, I was in 'The Music Man' followed by 'The Little Mermaid,' 'Crazy For You,' and 'Seussical the Musical' every year until senior year. Musical changed my life and I can't wait to tell you more about my experiences and how this magical activity changed my life.

Other than sports and the musical, I'm also in National Honors Society, Senior Executive Council, choir, and am the editor-in-chief for the yearbook. I love to play the ukulele and am currently learning to play the mandolin and the guitar. I own a photography business where I take mostly portraits and senior pictures, but shoot mostly anything that gives me an opportunity. Writing, singing, scrapbooking, dancing, watching YouTube, and being with my family all make me the happiest human alive. Next fall, I plan on attending college to study theater acting and directing with a focus in directing.

I can't wait to tell you guys about some experiences I've had and share with you how I feel about upcoming events in my life. I hope this can act as a creative outlet for my thoughts and feelings as well as a safe place for all of my life stories.
